Guest Speaker Information:

Chris Woods brings over 15 years of food service, retail, supply chain and logistics experience to Tangelo. His vast experience and deep relationships both on a farm and distribution level create a synergy between the farms and the people Tangelo serves.

Chris started his professional career in health care systems administration, but quickly found his passion for food and serving people. As a leader in food service, Chris developed systems to scale restaurant and supply chain operations in both the Northeast and South regions. Chris has led successful operations in several markets, training and developing both privately owned and national brand franchisees in food service producing over $100 million in food sales.

Chris understands the complexities of the food supply chain system and consulted regional food service operations to directly connect to regional resources while streamlining logistics and operations. He went on to lead wholesale logistics and business development for one of the largest Specialty Food and Produce Companies in the Northeast.

With the pandemic and the shutting down of most restaurant operations and shifting the need for food to restaurants to food for those in need. Chris took action using his resources and relationships to coordinate and distribute 100s of thousands of pounds of healthy food across the country. Chris is a servant to those in need and a leader to ensure the work gets done.
