Join the Florida Food Policy Council this summer for Intro to Food Policy!
This is a 6-week online course, providing foundational knowledge of food policy and tools to engage in advocacy.You will learn from and engage with renowned experts from organizations across the United States. There is currently no other learning experience like this in Florida.
The first 5 weeks’ sessions have two components: (Hour 1)presentation by experts and (Hour 2) breakout sessions. Each week, there will be a variety of breakout sessionstochoose from. Week 6 is a Town Hall,showcasing regional food policy work in Florida. It has two components: (1) short presentations from panelists and (2) a community question and answer session.

Classes are held over Zoom in 2-hour sessions. You will get a workbook prior to the start datecontaining general information about the course, info on the speakers, community guidelines, technology information, worksheets to guide you, and more. You will get access to an online folder and discussion boards to gather and share resources and ideas.
We are all impacted by these topics, so we encourage everyone to sign up and help unlock the potential of the food system. Participants under the age of 18 will need parental consent to attend.
